Engineered Timber Solutions Ltd provides contemporary bespoke roofing thanks to the production of their top quality roof trusses and metal web floor joists.
The company was formed in January 2003 in association with Carvers Ltd (Wolverhampton) who provides backup and a complete range of all building products. We are situated in Shropshire, in close proximity to the M54, with easy access to the West Midlands and beyond.
Our team have the ability to design, manufacture and deliver complete roof and floor packages for all building requirements, with past projects ranging from small domestic extensions through to large projects in the housing, self-build, commercial, local authority & healthcare sectors.
Within our team we are able to draw upon over 40 years of design experience in the truss industry, with the ability to find solutions to the most difficult of roof designs. This depth of experience is coupled with new and innovative technology and a completely new approach to achieving precise roof design solutions.
To meet your roof or flooring need, we will produce a complete structural roof/floor design including all trusses, joists, additional timber, metalwork and bracing, together with a complete set of site assembly drawings, and building control calculations.
Our company has attained ISO 9001 certification and has achieved FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody approval. We are also full members of the TRA (Trussed Rafter Association), the UK manufacturer’s principle body controlling the trussed rafter industry.

Tom is our chief designer. Being the most creative in the team he often oversees the more complicated projects. His knowledge comes from years spent designing and advising, some say he can design anything; we only know…he can!

Phillip Sankey
Managing Director and Designer
Phillip formed the company along with Carver Ltd (Wolverhampton) in 2002. He has set up the design and manufacturing facility as it is now. As well as running the business, he spends his time visiting sites and producing designs, so is up to speed with all issues.

Ivan was Group Sales Director with Carver until 2008. He has over 48 years experience within the Timber industry and has a special emphasis on medium, regional and national housebuilder business.
