This is a great new concept to increase internal living space that can be used in new houses, extensions, re-roofs and above garages.

This could be used for a bedroom/bathroom, study/office, games room and much more.

The Room in the Roof can increase the amount of usable room by up to 70% in a building for no increase in footprint or roof height.

Getting the most from your Room in the Roof:

• Space can be improved in different ways by the design of the truss.

• Pitch increase will give more usable room internally

Lower pitches reduce head/shoulder room

Increased pitch gives more head room

Putting a stub in and increasing wall height gives much more useable room space

Obviously, to make the environment in this room as pleasant as possible we need to allow as much natural daylight as possible into the roof area as there are not usually any traditional window surfaces available.

There are 2 types of window available;

Dormers

These are windows designed and built into into the roof structure tall enough to walk through. They provide a great view and can also act as a fire exit.

Velux

Varous sizes and configurations available.
