Getting the most from your Room in the Roof:

Space can be improved in different ways through truss design.

The steeper the roof pitch you create, the more usable space you will create internally

Lower pitches reduce head/shoulder room

Increased pitch gives more head room

Putting a stub in and increasing wall height gives much more useable room space

It makes sense to allow as much natural daylight and air into your new room as possible and there are two proven options:

Dormers These windows are designed and built into the roof structure and can be tall enough to walk through. So as well as a great view, you can also provide a fire exit.

Velux Swing-and-tilt windows with various sizes and configurations.
